Why summarising is the wrong behaviour
Existing AI glasses tell you a letter is from the tax office and concerns your pension. That is not reading. If you cannot see, you still want the actual words, in order, including the reference number and the deadline. Reading word for word sounds like a downgrade and is in fact the entire point.
The Finnish problem
Finnish is a small language and general-purpose assistants handle it patchily, particularly when reading aloud. Getting output that sounds like a person rather than a satnav took more work than the vision pipeline did.
No phone, deliberately
Anything requiring an app to be opened, a permission granted or a notification dismissed would not be used at all by the person this was built around. Voice and gesture only.
